José Gregorio Segovia Garcia, 59, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on April 29, 2023.

Born November 20, 1963 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, José Gregorio was always devoted to the social and political development of his country. He graduated with his Doctorate in Law with honors from the Universidad de Zulia. He dedicated his life to his work as a lawyer and political activist, occupying various political positions during his career. He was a regional leader that fought for human rights and justice for all of Venezuela.

Beyond his professional career, José Gregorio was a dedicated father and husband to his family who made many sacrifices in order to bring his family here to the United States.

José Gregorio will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marily de los Angeles Castellanos Paz, his loving children; José David and José Luis Segovia, his siblings; Rafael and Selene Segovia. José Gregorio was predeceased by his brother Ruben Segovia and his parents, Rafael Isidro Segovia and Maria Eudocia de Segovia.

Family will receive friends Saturday, May 6, 2023, 4-7pm with a 5:00pm funeral service in memory of José Gregorio at the funeral home. He will be returned to his hometown of Maracaibo, where another service will take place, followed by a burial to be held in Venezuela.
