Jonathan "Jay" Silver, 63, of Boca Raton passed unexpectedly on New Years Day 2024.

Born April 22, 1960 in Philadelphia, Jay grew up in Miami, FL, was involved in Young Judea, attended North Miami Beach High School, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Computer Science, and later obtained his master's degree from FAU.

At UF, Jay met his wife of 42 years. Together, they raised three daughters. He was very active in their lives: coaching them in soccer, volleyball, and basketball and teaching them, and numerous of their friends, how to water ski and kneeboard. He enjoyed boating in Lake Placid, Florida and hiking in Sapphire, North Carolina. One of his most memorable trips was hiking the Camino trail in Spain with his brother Mark. His life was full of family, friends, travel, diving, sports, and adventure.

He had long careers at IBM and Seimens; he was currently Director of Applications for Terminix North America.

He is survived by his wife Susan Bazyk, daughters Joanna Dover (Michael), Brigitte (Spencer), and Rebecca (Grant), grandchildren Ethan, Weston, and Layton, older siblings Mark, Amy, and Charles, stepbrother Henry Levine, and extensive extended family. He joins his parents Sam and Lynn.

A Mass of Intention will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, 9:00 am at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33487.
