John Christopher Rivers, 38, of Boca Raton, FL passed away July 25, 2020. He was known as "Chris" to his friends and "Bear" to mom and dad. Chris was born on February 22, 1982 in Miami, FL. He loved all types of music and had an incredible love and attachment to animals. His love of family and friends was very apparent to anyone who knows him. Chris always had a warm welcome for those he met and always made a point to make them feel included in a group setting. He was very affectionate and would never hesitate to express his love for you verbally, with a hug or an act of kindness. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his beloved parents; John Rivers and Mary (Patrick) Sanders, sister Nicole, all his cousins, aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 1, 2020, 11 am to 1 pm with a 1 pm funeral service that will be live streamed from the funeral home. Chris will then be cremated according to his wishes.

Donations may be made in memory of Chris Rivers to the Humane Society or any animal rescue shelter.
