John Clinton Carroll

John C. Carroll, 81, of Wellington, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 7, 1945, John was the son of John Carroll and Eileen Marion. John married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Ryall in 1964, beginning a loving partnership that would span more than 61 years. Originally from West Milford, New Jersey the family moved to Miami, Florida in 1976 before retiring to the Palm Beaches in 1999.

John proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a retail manager and business owner. A passionate golfer, John carried a single-digit handicap for much of his life and treasured the many rounds he played with his children and friends.

John was a devoted Dad and Papa to his three children, John, Dawn and Patrick and his five grandchildren, Dominic, Alexander, Peyton, John and Julia. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Frances and brother David and was predeceased by his siblings, Kathy, Patty, Danny, and Michael.

The family will forever cherish John's love, laughter, sense of humor and countless memories he created throughout a life well lived. He will be deeply missed and his unwavering devotion to his family will forever remain his legacy.

A funeral service with military honors will be held on Thursday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, Florida 33449. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life immediately following the service at 701 South Olive Avenue, 5th Floor Club Room, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401.
