James T. Taylo III, Boca Raton, joined the Church Triumphant on July 31, 2016 after a courageous battle against cancer. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cynthia Briggs, and
their children, Thomás and Rachel Taylo. Predeceased by his father, James, also surviving are his mother, Bobbie Taylo, and sisters Karen and Julie. Jim was born in 1953 in Bossier City, LA. He graduated from Lee High School, Huntsville, AL, and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served from 1972-1975 on aircraft carriers during the Vietnam War. Jim received his B.S. from Florida Atlantic University and worked as a computer engineer until retiring from Siemens in 2015. Jim was involved in his church, First United Methodist Church of Boca (FUMC), having accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord on October 14, 1989. He was a voracious reader and excellent cook who also enjoyed fishing and traveling. Most of all, he loved being with his wife and precious children. Memorial service will be at FUMC, 625 NE Mizner Boulevard, Boca Raton FL 33432, on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at ll:00 a.m. Please, no flowers. Donations may be made to FUMC for The John Cotton Fund, or to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., #200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
