Sadowski, James Donald (Jim) born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. August 11, 1936 was called home by God August 4, 2017. Jim was educated in the Roman Catholic School, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, graduated from CUNY and NYIT, employed in the business machine repair industry, and then found a passion in education in that industry.
Dedicated to his students he was named 1990 Educator of the Year by the NY Catholic Teachers Association and was a highly respected board member for Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA).
He is survived by former wife Jennifer Daniels Sadowski Foster whom he married in December 1971 and their children Lara Sadowski Jaburek and Julie Sadowski LeCluse Powell. He is predeceased by former wife Sylvia Gardner Sadowski whom he married in July 1957 and survived by their children Sheryl Sadowski Jennings Matthews, Deborah Sadowski Clayton, and Patricia Sadowski Starke. Jim felt very blessed by 5 daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandson Daniel Ryan Jennings. Predeceased by his parents Stanley Sadowski and Antionette Karas Sadowski Profic (Frank) he is survived by his loving brother Arthur (Rita) Sadowski.
Jim was always a good and loyal friend and will be missed across the country by many. His passions included family and friends, his students, photography, owning a campground in Susquehanna PA, riding his motorcycle, and his dog Desi. He loved to see people smiling and happy.
A memorial service April 20, 2018, 11am, at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 SR 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449, will be planned in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James Sadowski's honor to Trustbridge Hospice Care, Boca Raton, FL or an Alzheimer's Research Organization.
