Irving David Corkett Jr

Irving David Corkett Jr., 91, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born on July 30, 1934, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, he was the beloved son of Irving David Corkett and Kathleen Corkett (née McKenna.)

Irving was a proud United States Navy veteran who carried his patriotism and dedication throughout his life. He was also a devoted Catholic and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, faithfully serving his church and community for many years.Originally from Long Island, New York, Irving made South Florida his home for the past 26 years. He enjoyed many simple pleasures in life including golfing, traveling, playing solitaire, and spending time with family and friends. Above all, he will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving children, David Corkett, Kathleen (David) L’Ecuyer, and Peggy Anne (Thomas) Hughes; his cherished grandchildren, Meghan (Andrew) Mach, Dylan L’Ecuyer, Julianne Hughes, Erin Hughes, Shannon Hughes, and Gavin Corkett; and his adored great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kevin, and Colson. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Gary Panoch Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass with full military honors will be celebrated Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Emanuel Catholic Church, Delray Beach, FL.
