Hipolito Martinez (Polo), born on April 15,1939 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, passed away at Vitas Hospice Healthcare facility on July 11, 2020. He resided at Golden Swan ALF in Coconut Creek, Florida. He worked most of his life and retired from Cushman Industries, Hartford CT as a machinist He is survived his children Maritza Aponte, Linda Martinez, Paul Martinez, David Martinez, Jesus Manuel Martinez, Morgan Tracy, Geronimo Martinez. His grandchildren Chelsea Morante, Alexander Martinez, Ramon Martinez, Gabriella Martinez, Justyn Martinez, Dyann Martinez, Alexis Tracy, Aja Kai Martinez, Joseph Martinez and Jayden Martinez. His great grandchildren Christopher Martinez, Aiden Saucier, Savannah Martinez, Cataleya Martinez, Keira Rose Rivera, Ava Liliana Aleto, and Afton Cherie Martinez. His siblings, Gregoria, Anastasio, Angel, Benita, Lydia, and Antonia. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters-in-law, Kelly Ault, Dawn Michelle Hastings-Martinez, Amber Martinez and his son-in-law Ramon Aponte.  He will meet his departed loved ones Amparo, Jesus, Jose, Juan, Ramona and Miguel.

An avid traveler, he loved to travel to Brazil, Puerto Rico and cruise the Caribbean Islands. His smile and charismatic personality made anyone feel special. His laugh was infectious, and he never turned down a reason to celebrate. He always was very generous with his time with helping others. He was a sports player of baseball, bowling, basketball, and billiards. Loved to play Dominos and watch his favorite teams play especially the Boston Red socks.
