Hector Rafael Solorzano, 89, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away January 13, 2014. Hector Rafael Solorzano was an amazing, intelligent man, a man that dedicated his life to becoming a better man and improving his family's lives. He started his life in a small town in El Salvador, where he grew up and went on to search for a better future. He developed a liking for music and started a business in his own house where he recorded music, then he sold music equipment and wall paper, his wife always next to him, making sure that his plans and dreams were being developed. He enjoyed boats so he went on to learning how to manufacture them, he took it on himself with a good friend who taught him every skill he learned. He then adventured into the boat manufacturing business where he became very successful. Throughout his life he worked very hard, he was an accountant by profession so everything had to be detailed and entered into a notebook, every expense, every bill had to be entered. He enjoyed being organized and showed his family what saving money and being responsible was all about. He enjoyed the arts once he retired. He painted for a pastime and actually painted several paintings that he leaves behind. He also liked music so he bought an organ which he enjoyed for many years, he used it as his favorite pastime. Once the computer era came around, he started learning how to download videos and music and pictures which he saved for all of us to enjoy. He then wrote a book about his life and family memories. He published the book and left each one of his children a copy. He lived a full life of 89 years. He leaves behind a family who love him and admire him, six children and his wife Idis. Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14, 2014, 4-8pm with an 8pm service at the funeral home.
