Georgia (Arvanetes) Muccio, a longtime resident of Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the age of 94.
Born on March 9, 1930, in the Bronx, Georgia was the daughter of Nicholas and Malama Endekas Arvanetes. She attended St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton, Florida, where she was a devoted member.
On May 28, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Georgia married the love of her life, Frank C. Muccio. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing.
Georgia worked for many years at the IBM Country Club, where she was known for her dedication and friendly demeanor working with young children.
She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Muccio and his wife Karen, and Stephen Muccio and his late wife Donice. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Michael A. Muccio and his wife Francesca, and Megan Partridge and her husband Ryan, Stephen Muccio and his wife Araceli. Georgia was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Tatum, Cooper, and Ty Partridge, and Edie and Lena Muccio. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Georgia was predeceased by her siblings, Jim, John, Peter, Ernie, Virginia, Catherine, and Claire.
Georgia's warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Georgia's life will be held 12pm noon on June 24th at St Mark Greek Orthodox Church, Boca Raton. Burial will follow at the South Florida VA National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton, Florida.
May her memory be eternal as she dances to Greek melodies in heaven.
