George Canner, 80, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10th, 2023. Born on July 23, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, George graduated from William E. Grady in Brighton, Brooklyn. He went on to serve as a New York City Transit employee for 25 years until his retirement. A hard-working man, George served his NYCT community as a skilled mechanic, instructor, and director throughout his outstanding tenure.

George is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 58 years, Saundra; his children Sherri and George (Nicole); grandchildren Kenneth (MJ), Adam (Safeena), Sam, Emma, Julia, and Ryan; three great grandchildren Kahleb, Ziva, and Tahlia; and his sister Veronica.

A funeral service in memory of George will be held on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gary Panoch Funeral Home
