Genowefa Hancock

Genowefa ("Gen") Hancock, 75, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away in her home on Tuesday, Aug 8th, 2022. Gen was born on June 29, 1947, in Konin, Poland. Upon coming to the United States she became a Hair Stylist and Entrepreneur, graduating Concord Beauty School in New York and opening the successful chain of "Hair by Gen" salons in Brooklyn and Spring Valley, NY, and later in Boca Raton, when she transitioned to Florida.

Gen was beautiful inside and out and had a magnetic personality and had so many adoring friends and dedicated clients. She was a talented professional and expanded her career to include creating specialty hair designs for weddings and private special events with prestigious clients. Gen was a fun-loving person who was full of life and had a heart filled with unconditional love. She was adventurous, loved to travel, enjoyed tending to her beautiful garden at home and was extremely passionate about animals and their rescue.

Gen will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Allan of 28 years, and her loving daughter Alison J (AJ) Tatarynowicz.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 13th, 2022, from 2:00-6:00pm immediately followed by Service in memory of Gen beginning at 6:00pm.
