Frances Blackburn, 85, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024. Born on February 26, 1939, in Burnwell, KY, to Hester and Wayne Patterson, Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who brought warmth and kindness to everyone around her. She shared 69 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Douglas Blackburn, and is survived by her loving son, Mickey Blackburn of Lynnview, KY.

Frances spent 27 dedicated years working in sales at Sears, where she was cherished for her warm smile and tireless work ethic. Her life was filled with love for her family, friends, and church community. Known for her generous spirit and remarkable ability to care for others, Frances had a special way of making everyone feel seen and valued. She had a great sense of humor and a passion for cooking, always welcoming family and friends to share meals and laughter.

Frances was predeceased by her daughter, Connie Frances, whom she loved dearly and carried in her heart every day. She leaves a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held to honor her life on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the South Florida VA National Cemetery.
