Ferdinand "Ferdi" D'Cruz, 81, of Delray Beach, FL, went to the Lord on August 1, 2019. He was born May 28, 1938 in Karwar, India and educated in Mumbai, India. Ferdi migrated to Melbourne, Australia then settled in the US. He worked in both places as a Quality Control Inspector. In the US, he was employed by the Department of Defense contractors before retiring in 2013. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ferdi was a man of faith and responsibility. He fulfilled his duties to church, work and family. He was best known for his generosity and giving sound and frank advice to people who sought his help. Sometimes he became unpopular because he offered no compromises. He is survived by his beloved wife, Hermoine, of 27 years, loving children; Darren, Neal, Glen, Evan and stepdaughters; Beverly and Vanessa, step grandsons; Brett and Reid. Visitation and prayers will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019, 9-10:30am at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 7, 2019, 11am at Ascension Catholic Church and burial will be held 11am, Thursday at Delray Beach Memorial Gardens Municipal Cemetery.
