IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eva Hannah
Gatcliffe
August 18, 1929 – February 20, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Eva Gatcliffe on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Eva left us peacefully at 96 years old in her sleep at her home at Boca Raton, with daughter Anna Rose and grand daughter Eva by her side.
Eva was predeceased by her parents Elgin and Karolina Scott. She follows her dear late siblings George and Anna and her late children Jennifer and Denise. She was predeceased by husband Johnny and partner Derek. Her grandchildren Jack and Luke will greet her with Georgie (beloved dog) at the Pearly gates. Mourning her loss but grateful to have been enriched by her life and love are her many adoring children, Anna Rose, Kristine(Christian), Kathryn, Elizabeth, Judy(Lance), Jonathan, and Charles. She was cherished by her grandchildren Lisha, Anna(Mark), Eva, Melanie(Robby), Sarah(Sean), Olivia(Anton), Jennifer, Natasha(Shane), Shannon, Gabby, Jenique, Lindsay, Christian, Bryanne, Lauren(Blair), Nathan and Isabella. She is also survived by her 19 great-grandchildren. Eva was incredibly proud of all her children, grands and great grands.
She followed all their news and accomplishments of their lives. She cherished visits and phone calls with them, never missed a birthday and sent cards to each and every one. She proudly displayed numerous family photos on each and every available space. Whether you’ve met Eva since childhood, or only met her recently, you’ve felt her kindness. She had an ease with people from all walks of life. Whoever she met, she would quickly strike up a conversation, always attentive and complimentary. She had a warmth about her that left a mark on everyone she met. Eva was more than a good daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and partner. She epitomized what it means to be a good person. She lived a full life with people, laughter, adventure and travel but most of all with love. Her final act of love would be to implore us all to do the same. Soar high sweet Mama, until we meet again. We love you
In keeping with Eva’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held in Eva’s honor at St. Jude Catholic Church, in Boca Raton. Service to commence at 10:00 am on Friday April 10th, 2026, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local ASPCA(Eva loved animals) or to a charity of your choice.
