Esther Manuela Hernandez (née: Jordan), age 94, a beloved figure of the Jordan/Vera family who lived in Coconut Creek Florida, sadly left our world on Friday July 26th, after a life richly lived in service and kindness.  Known for Her love of God, Family and Life, Esther was a beacon of light, touching so many lives through Church: Esther served as a lecturer for many years in her Parish and acted as a translator for Spanish speaking Parishioners.

Esther was the pioneer in her family who along with her older brother Epifanio helped pave the way for future generations to build a new life in mainland America. She was considered the Matriarch by the family after the demise of her beloved mother Sofia. Esther was known for sharing special moments and personal connections with people; her love of dancing and her steadfast commitment to her family.

Preceded in death by Epifanio Jordan Benjamin-Camayor (father); Sofia Vera Vera (Mother); Brunilda Jordan(sister); Gilberto Jordan (brother); Nelida Arce (sister); Epifanio Jordan Vera (brother); Clotilde Leon (sister), Ambrosio Concepcion Hernandez Feliciano(husband); she is leaving a legacy through her daughters: Norma M Hernandez, Eileen S Yonak, Lourdes E Petko; her grandsons: Ozzie Lopez and wife Lauren Lopez, Tyler Fontanez, Stuart Petko; her great-grandchildren: Dahlia Lopez and Cyrus Lopez; her sisters: Edna Lectora and husband Pablo Lectora, Myrta Quiles; her brothers: Israel Jordan, Hector Jordan and wife Concepcion Jordan, John Jordan, Carl Jordan and wife Frances Jordan, Angel Jordan and wife Evelyn Jordan; and over 100 nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces; Esther's memory will be a guiding star for all who knew her. In remembrance, a gathering will take place on Tuesday July 30th 12-2pm and 4-8pm, at Gary Panoch Funeral Home where we will honor Esther's enduring impact on our community and hearts. A funeral mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 9:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
