Erik Olav Olson, 45, of Boca Raton, Florida completed his earthly mission on July 12, 2022. Kevin and Ellen-Anita welcomed Erik into their family on May 27, 1977 in Provo, Utah. Erik's eternal optimism and quick wit allowed him to make friends easily as he served in his community and church; especially during his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints among the Vietnamese people in Philadelphia. Just six weeks after returning home from his missionary service, he met his sweetheart, Brianne Janelle Page. Six months later they began their life together by being sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 5, 1999. While growing their family, Erik and Bri enjoyed the adventures of living in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and finally Florida. Erik was a gifted salesman who possessed a strong work ethic which he instilled in his sons from a young age. "Work smarter, not harder" and "Never pay anyone to do a job you could do yourself" were his mottos. Over their 23 years of marriage, Erik and Bri were blessed with 5 handsome sons and 1 princess daughter who completed their family. Flyfishing, basketball, a giant bowl of authentic Pho, and a good game of Spikeball on the beach, were some of Erik's favorite pastimes. Erik served in many capacities in the Church including: Young Men's President, Elders Quorum Presidency, and the Bishopric. Above all, he cherished his time serving the Lord in the Fort Lauderdale Temple for nearly 5 years. Most Wednesday evenings, he could be found hustling around the halls of the temple coordinating the sacred work of redeeming our kindred dead. Above all, Erik was a dedicated father; and a selfless and thoughtful husband. He always put his family first, and despite setbacks and challenges, he continually chose joy. Erik will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bri, his treasured children; Erik, JayDee, Gentry, Vaughn, Pierce, and Briella; along with countless extended family members.

A viewing will take place on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 6-8pm at Gary Panoch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at the LDS Chapel located at 1530 West Camino Real, Boca Raton. There will be a viewing that morning, from 9-10am followed by the service. Internment will take place at Boca Raton City Cemetery.
