Elinor Ruth Meineke, 101, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026. Born on March 3, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Edmond and Katherine Wilkins (née Gohs). Sister to Luella M. Hill, Charles and Wayne Wilkins.Elinor lived a long and vibrant life marked by strength, devotion, and an unmistakable spirit. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Carol Ballarini and Nancy Herman, and a proud grandmother to John (Alina) Herman, Laurie Herman (Patrick)McDonough , JoAnna Ballarini, and Joseph (Cara) Ballarini. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Jolina, Adam, Theo, and Elodie, who brought her immense joy.She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage, and her loving son, Richard Jr. Elinor found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

She loved creating ceramics, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, and crocheting with care and creativity. She enjoyed watching the Buzzer Game on television, making her regular trips to Costco with Rick and especially looked forward to having her hair done each week. These routines brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.

Known as a true force of nature, Elinor will always be remembered for her strong will, her unwavering beliefs, and her readiness to stand up for what she felt was right. Her presence, strength, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Her legacy of resilience, devotion, and individuality will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
