Elaine Feinberg, 89, of Lauderhill, FL passed away October 27, 2022. Born and raised in Mt. Vernon, NY. Elaine made her home in Miami, FL for most of her life.

Loving sister to Sy Corwin and Mort Corwin (Carol), mother to Andrea Barcy and Jon Feinberg, grandmother (Nana) to Michelle Barcy (Ashley) and Danielle Barcy and adopted Mom to many cats and dogs over the years.

Elaine was fiercely passionate about helping animals, people, and the environment. She rescued many cats and dogs, and if she couldn't find someone to provide proper care for them, she would keep them.

She had a knack for caring for plants and flowers and had several jobs, caring for plants of all kinds, and in later years, enjoyed providing knowledge and inspiration to people, at Home Depot outside garden for more than 10 years. She loved the physical work and endured many blazing hot Miami summers enjoying this passion.

Elaine loved the color purple, her Toyota MR2, and later, a Toyota pickup truck.

She was always available for family and would help with everything and anything. Her love for her granddaughters, Michelle and Danielle, was immeasurable! She spent as much time as possible nurturing them and doing fun things, as they were growing up.

Elaine also had an interesting stubborn side, and once during a hurricane evacuation, she refused to go until bribed with Scotch.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Humane Society of Miami or Broward counties, or the World Wildlife Fund.
