Edward Gogonas, 90, of Margate, FL, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016. Born in Chicago on Christmas Day, 1925, he later enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 during WWII serving in  the South Pacific including the Battle at Okinawa. Returning home, he had a successful career as a salesman for the Fasano Pie Co. in Chicago and after moving to South Florida in 1980 he owned and operated two restaurants. He will be remembered for his love of life, terrific sense of humor and his big heart that was open to everyone. Edward is survived by his two children; Patricia Dehn and Dennis Gogonas along with grandchildren Wally and wife Sharon, Jon, Nick, Sieva and Shelby along with longtime friend Joyce Zepp. Memorial service will be held at the South FL Nat'l Cemetery, Lake Worth, Fri. April 29, 2016, 1:30pm.
