Dr. Thomas James Christiansen, of Hypoluxo, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 66 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Tom was born May 28, 1956 to Richard and Marion Christiansen in Endicott, New York and raised with his younger sister, Susan, in Rochester, Minnesota. Tom attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and obtained his Master's Degree from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Psychology from University of North Texas before moving to South Florida in 1990. Tom was a practicing psychologist specializing in children, families, and adult mental health for 28 years and was a professor at South University for over 10 years.

Beyond his work, Tom loved spending time on the water. On any given day, Tom could be found fishing or cruising up and down the Intracoastal entertaining friends and family on his boat. He had great taste in music and often attended concerts of his favorite bands. He enjoyed golfing with his family over the holidays and watching the Minnesota Vikings play.

Tom is survived by his daughter and her husband, Erica Christiansen and Alex Gramovot; his mother, Marion Christiansen; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Allan Brink; and his daughter's mother, Rebecca Christiansen. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Christiansen.

A celebration of life will be held with the family and friends at 4:00pm at Lantana Bicentennial Park on Saturday, October 22, 2022:
