Doris Eloise Fulford passed away peacefully on March 8, 2012 with her beloved son Raymond Fulford and her devoted daughter Dawn Martin by her side. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Andrea Goodfriend.
Doris was born on October 21, 1915 in Washington D.C.. She spent her childhood years, where she often said she had everything she needed and wanted in the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. She met Kenneth Merton Fulford, whom she married on July 3, 1943 in Jamaica. Soon thereafter they started their family with the birth of their first son. Later Doris and Kenneth would be blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Doris worked for the US government for the majority of her working career. She retired from the Department of Labor in 1983 and moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida. After moving to Florida she worked for Catholic Charities for ten years.
Doris will be missed by the many she touched with her laughter, love, warmth and kindness .Her legacy of love will live on in the many lives she touched including her dear sister Rita E. Murray, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the many nieces, nephews, and dear friends around the globe. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.
