Biography

Born July 19, 1926 in Windsor, Ontario to Elizabeth (MacGregor) and David Baird. Passed away on November 27, 2010 at the age of 84. Davie was raised in Windsor Ontario, Airdrie Scotland and New York City U.S.A. He is survived by his children Allan and Elizabeth; his grandchildren Jason, Randal, Shona and Brian; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also leaves his sister Mazie McCormick who resides in Long Island, New York . Davie was a Painter & Decorator by trade, Dairy Farmer and a Certified Highland Bagpipe Instructor. Davie was also a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons for 50 ++ years as well as being a Shriner. Davie was very particular in whatever he was doing, especially in his bagpipe teachings. He had a love for the bagpipes as well as Scotland's heritage, culture and music. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service on December 11th at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, Florida at 11:00. In addition, a musical tribute for Davie will be performed in his honor, immediately after the service.
