Cindee Brady

A Life well-lived… and well-loved

Cindee Brady, born August 28, 1949 in Basile, Louisana, was promoted from hospice to heaven at age 76 on June 9, 2026, after an unexpected battle with cancer complications.

Cindee lived life in Technicolor, and pink was her favorite color. From a closet of clothes so colorful you didn’t need to turn the light on, to powder-coated pink wheels on her car, to brightly colored, personally hand-painted furniture and decorations in her house, to a collection of magical purses and Bible bags collected from around the world (she visited over 50 countries), to the ever-changing designs on her finger-nails and toe-nails, anyone who met her knew she was special.

Cindee was consumed by three passions: her family, especially her grandchildren; her art; and most of all her Lord and Savior. Cindee honored these passions in large part by teaching, and knew that in order to teach you first had to be a student, and second had to care about the student. She regularly acknowledged those teachers and mentors who greatly influenced her.

She studied art all her life, and was especially fond of her student relationship with nationally renowned Tole & Decorative artist Jo Sonja. Over the years, she taught countless classes in her studio Bandanas & Bluebonnets in Houston, TX and later the Brady Brush in Ridgefield, CT, as well as classes in community centers, education, and high school in Houston, TX, and in Ridgefield, Danbury, and Norwalk, CT, and in Delray Beach, FL.

She graduated from Jerry Savelle Bible College, regularly taught Bible classes, occasionally preached church service, and posted almost daily encouragement teachings on social media. She was forever grateful to her spiritual father and mother, Pastors Jack and Mary Jean Pigeon, as well as the two pastors who most influenced her spiritual life, pastors Don Karpinen (who ordained Cindee into Ministry) and Erwin Guevara (under who’s covering she was currently licensed). She always had time for class members, and if you knew Cindee, then rest assured she had prayed for you regularly by name.

And when Cindee wasn’t teaching about art or the Lord, she was either just teaching (formal exercise aerobics classes and jazzercise classes, impromptu cooking classes, drama classes, etc), or spending time with the grandkids. A particularly fond set of memories with the grandkids is the annual summertime “Grammy Camp,” which included participation in Victory’s Vacation Bible School, and which involved rounding up as many as half a dozen of the grandkids’ friends to come along.

Cindee is survived by her husband John/Sean of 43 years, her son Brannon Badeaux and his wife Rosa and their son Tait, her daughter Renee Panzer and her husband Chris and their children Jax and Bryson, her sister Bobbie Cook and her husband Allen, her favorite nephew Todd Cook and his wife Jamie, and her longtime friend since the late 1950s Sandy Benedetto and her husband Mr. Larry. Cindee is preceded in death by her mother and father Irene and Bob Bossley.

Cindee was truly a Proverbs 31:10 wife, and her favorite scripture was Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd…
