Quien partió al encuentro del Señor el martes 6 de mayo de 2025, a la edad de 83 años, en Boca Raton, Florida.

Nació el 22 de noviembre de 1941 en Riobamba, Ecuador. Fue una esposa y madre ejemplar, dedicada a mantener la unión familiar, dejando un legado de amor, alegría y fortaleza. Su sonrisa radiante —la inolvidable "sonrisa Colinos"— iluminó siempre a quienes la rodeaban.

Cumanda fue una mujer de profundo amor por su patria. Durante la Guerra de Paquisha se ofreció como voluntaria para atender a los heridos. Dedicó varios años de su vida al servicio en el área de la salud, ayudando a traer muchas vidas al mundo y compartiendo la felicidad de las familias. También fue defensora de los derechos laborales, desempeñándose como representante sindical en el IESS y capacitándose internacionalmente para mejorar las condiciones de los trabajadores.

Su memoria será siempre honrada por su amado esposo Serafín Bayas, con quien compartió más de 60 años de matrimonio; sus hijos Oswaldo (Adriana), Jorge y Ángel (Erica); y sus nietos Israel, Katherine, Gema, Grace Kellie, Ángel Gerardo, Joel, Debbie y Nayeli Bayas.

El servicio funeral en su honor se llevará a cabo el sábado 10 de mayo de 2025, a las 18:00 horas en Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida.

Who departed to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 83, in Boca Raton, Florida.

She was born on November 22, 1941, in Riobamba, Ecuador. She was a devoted wife and exemplary mother, dedicated to maintaining family unity and leaving a legacy of love, joy, and strength. Her radiant smile—the unforgettable "Colinos smile"—always brightened the lives of those around her.

Cumanda was a woman of deep love for her homeland. During the Paquisha War, she volunteered to care for the wounded. She dedicated several years of her life to service in the healthcare field, helping bring many lives into the world and sharing in the joy of families. She was also an advocate for labor rights, serving as a union representative at IESS and receiving international training to improve workers' conditions.

Her memory will always be cherished by her beloved husband Serafín Bayas, with whom she shared more than 60 years of marriage; her children Oswaldo (Adriana), Jorge, and Ángel (Erica); and her grandchildren Israel, Katherine, Gema, Grace Kellie, Ángel Gerardo, Joel, Debbie, and Nayeli Bayas.

The funeral service in her honor will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida.
