Charles Acosta, 88, of Highland Beach, FL passed away January 26, 2022. A resident of South Florida since 2006, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Vera, of 60 years, loving children; Maureen (Patrick) Toal, Sean (Debbie) Acosta, Colin (Stephanie) Acosta, Kathleen DeMartino, grandchildren; Samantha Acosta, Stephany Acosta, Megan Acosta, Natalie Acosta, Salvatore DeMartino, Antonio DeMartino Jr., Sabrina DeMartino, Christina DeMartino, Joseph Toal, Matthew Toal, Ryan Toal, Patrick Toal Jr., Shari Cali-Manko, Sean Acosta Jr., Shannon Acosta, Syndie Acosta, great-grandchildren; Blair Toal, Maeve Toal, Ellison Toal, Isabella Toal, Zoe Cali-Manko, and Harper Cali-Manko. He was a retired detective with the New York City Police Department. Charles enjoyed traveling including cruises. Family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2022, 3-6pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11am, Friday, February 4, 2022, at St Mark's Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, FL. Burial will follow 1:30pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
