Carol A. Walters-Hopkins left to be with God and her parents on Aug. 30, 2015. Carol was born to Michael & Vilma Schwalie in Bronx, NY on March 27, 1942 then moved to Thornwood, NY where she grew up before attending Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA. She graduated with a BA degree then headed west to CA seeking employment. She began a lengthy career with Max Factor Cosmetics in Hollywood where she rose to VP in the PR department. After 28 years, she returned east to CT and transferred to Revlon Cosmetics for over 10 yrs in an executive position. She resigned to follow her retired parents to FL. Carol found employment with Rexall Sundown in Boca Raton. After several years with the passing of her parents, she retired from the business life. However, she did not retire from life being active at Ascension Catholic Church in Boca, devoting many hours a week. She also was active in many area charities. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Donald Hopkins, step-daughters; Kelly, Kristy, Karen, 4 grandchildren, numerous friends and distant relatives in the NE USA and Europe. Family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 4, 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Sat. 11am at the Ascension Catholic Church.
