We are deeply saddened that you left us on this day, Aug. 22nd, our beloved mother. Carol, whose sense of humor and strong belief of right and wrong will always be with us, your adoring children, Eric and Lisa. Carol G. Hanson, born in Utica, NY to Thomas and Irene Georgitson in 1934, the youngest of four daughters. Raised in the city of Miami, longtime resident and public servant of Boca Raton, was a popular and well respected public official whose many offices included state representative, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and city council member. She began her political career as a volunteer on the  planning and zoning board. She won every elected post she ever sought. In addition to her dedication and tireless service to the city of Boca Raton and it's residents. Carol enjoyed spending summertime with her cherished husband, Henry "Hank" of 61 years, in their RV in the mountains of North Carolina, where she also had many friends. We hope you are with our father who preceded you in death only one month ago. You are loved and missed by your children, your surviving sister, Joan (Joe) Frechette, brother-in-law, Arthur Hanson and many nephews and nieces. Per her request, there will be no formal services.
