Carl was born on May 24, 1928 on the lower east side of New York City, NY. He was the son of Charles and Anna (Suslar) Benvenuto.

Carl is survived by his wife of 64 years, Theresa (Smith) Benvenuto, seven children, Charles (Margaret) Benvenuto of Chicago, IL, Patti Sagan of Denver, CO, Marie (Dan) Strelow of Boston, MA, John Benvenuto of San Jose, CA, Christine Ruby of Detroit, MI, Mark (Lori) Benvenuto of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael Benvenuto of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carl was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Biase Benvenuto.

Carl was a Controller for Westinghouse Electric Corporation for many years, retiring in 1992. He was a proud veteran who served in the Navy as a Radioman on an ice cutter during the Korean War.

Friends may call at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton on Friday, December 9, from 10 to 12pm. The funeral service will follow at 1pm at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton. Burial will be on Monday, December 12 at 9.30am at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
