Braz Diego Fernandes, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019, at the age of 85.

Braz was born on February 3, 1934 in Mumbai, India to Mark and Ophelia Fernandes. He was 15 years old when he finished High School, receiving two double promotions. He rose to the ranks as a Marine Chief Engineer with the Sindia Navigation Company, where he worked for 30 years. He later immigrated to the United States in 1979, where he was rejoined with his wife and children. He then worked at and retired from IBM, where he was a Mechanical Engineer. Braz enjoyed spending his time cooking, gardening, listening to classical music, and being around his family.

Braz is survived by his wife, Betty Ann of 51 years, his three sons, Dwayne (Joan) , Ryan (Danielle) and Shaun (Lewis); his four doting grandchildren, Ilani, Leiani, Kaili and Sienna, his sister, Sister Mary Raphael, and his brother Victor (Clara). Braz was predeceased by his brothers Tony and John.

A Funeral Service in memory of Braz will be held on Saturday, December 28, at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Ascension Catholic Church, Boca Raton.
