Obituary

It was a life well lived and a 100-year journey for Beverly Jean Evans

May 3rd, 1924 - Sept 24, 2024

Beverly Jean Campbell (Evans) was born on May 3rd, 1924, in Toronto, Ohio.  Her loving parents were Samuel Arnold Campbell and his wife Edna May Campbell (Kelly).

Beverly was proceeded in death by her husband George Evans and her brother Charles David Campbell. Prior to George's death in 2019, they were married 75 years.  She is also preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Sherry Rae Hammerly who passed in 2007 from MS.   Beverly leaves a daughter Karen, a son Joel, a son-in-law, William Hammerly, a daughter in law, Carrie Evans (Neal), grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, and Jennifer.  Also 5 great grandchildren Locke, Mika, Remington, Kennedy, and Elle.  Many nieces, nephews, loving friends and a special sister-in-law, Ruth Campbell, who recently celebrated her 98th birthday.

Beverly had a long and happy marriage. George was brilliant mathematician and teacher, and Beverly was the happy homemaker. She loved to cook and was always happy in the kitchen.  Beverly worked over 20 years in the deli department at Rego supermarket in Westlake, Ohio.

Beverly had a beautiful home in Bay Village Ohio.  She loved the yard sales, casinos, barbecues, cooking channels and scratching away on her bingo cards. She made dozens of gorgeous Afghan blankets and enjoyed her sewing machine.  When George passed away in 2019, she decided to move to Florida to be with her daughter.  She had 5 fun filled years living with her daughter, Karen and grandson Michael in Boca Raton, Florida.  Her son Joel was also there to help her in big ways. Memories include daily trips to the Marriott Hotel, and of course going to McDonalds and Dennys.

Beverly always wore a little hat.  Her last hat displayed 100 years on her tiara, and a big, beautiful smile.   She brought so much joy and happiness to all that knew her.  She lived each day to the fullest. In May 2024, we got to celebrate her 100th birthday.  It was at the clubhouse and many friends and relatives were there.  We celebrated her life in music, pictures, hugs, and lots of good food.

Beverly was a great daughter, wife, mother aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to so many.  She touched everyone with positivity, kindness, fun, and love.  Her smile will last till eternity and could melt your heart. We will miss you mom, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and all your friends.  Heaven has welcomed a new angel.  Will all see you again someday.  Keep up that beautiful smile.
