Betty L. Avis, age 97, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Betty's vibrant life left a lasting legacy of kindness and positivity.

Born in New Jersey, Betty relocated to South Florida in 1974, where she spent the majority of her life surrounded by family and friends. She was the beloved mother of Carol Lein, Richelle Avis, and Randall (Joyce) Avis. Betty's love and influence extended to her cherished grandchildren, Susan Ziegler, Michele Harbough, Christine Burger, Ryan Avis, Aaron Avis, and Cory Avis, as well as nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, with whom she shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage, and her son, Wayne. Together with William, she enjoyed designing home remodeling plans, showcasing her creative talents and eye for detail. Betty was an avid traveler and enjoyed countless adventures with her camping trailer, creating treasured memories through her membership in two travel groups.

Betty will be remembered for her unwavering positivity, which brightened the lives of everyone she met. Her ability to uplift others and make a lasting impression was a hallmark of her character.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church, located at 625 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held immediately after the service. Betty will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM in the Boca Raton Cemetery, alongside her beloved husband, William.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Betty's memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice.

Betty's warm heart and boundless optimism will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
