Biography

Antonio M Correa, age 80, of Boca Raton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 21, 2014 after courageously battling Cholangiocarcinoma for over two years.
Antonio was born August 14, 1934 in Bogotá, Colombia. He attended Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He first came to the Unites States in 1959 to further his studies. In 1961 he married Gladys Gomez and returned to the US in 1963. He began his family in Los Angeles, California before moving to West Palm Beach in 1968 where he and Gladys raised their three daughters.
Antonio retired as a Civil Engineer from the South Florida Water Management District after 33 years of loyal service. He had an undeniable zest for life; His hobbies included Amateur Radio (HK3QB), flying his single engine plane, woodworking, boating, arguing politics, traveling and RV'ing across the country in his beloved motorhome.
Antonio's life will be celebrated with a funeral memorial mass at Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton on October 24th at 4:00 pm. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gladys Gomez (nee), his three daughters Claudia Patricia (Correa) Krochta and husband Charles of Owings Mills, MD: Clara (Clarita) Correa and fiancé Steve Geraci of West Palm Beach; Sandra (Correa) Barcia and husband Thomas of Boca Raton; grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Jack, Benjamin, Andrea and Matthew; siblings Miguel, Alejandro†, Carlos, Gloria, Jorge, and Daniel all of Colombia and many loving sister-in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 24, 2014, 4pm at Ascension Catholic Church.
