Andrew L. "Drew" Montanaro, Jr., 75, of Old Lyme, CT and Highland Beach, FL, loving husband of Janice (Litke) Montanaro for 53 years, passed away peacefully, Tuesday (January 31, 2023) at his home in Florida. He was born February 24, 1947 in Hartford and was the son of the late Andrew Montanaro Sr. and Virginia (Stocker) Montanaro. Formerly of Wethersfield, Drew managed a number of restaurants and bars in Connecticut, including the infamous Cherrystones Restaurant and Ocean Spray Café in Old Lyme where friends and family gathered regularly.  Drew was the mischief maker; he was high on life, always had a joke to tell and a smile to share.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Virginia, his wife, Janice, and also leaves behind his children, Andrew "Monty" Montanaro and wife Mary Jo of Old Lyme, Marc Montanaro and wife Kelli of Fairfield, Michael Montanaro and wife Beth of Old Lyme; his 8 grandchildren: Mikaela, Aidan, Eiley, Oscar, Cameron, Spencer, Samuel and Georgiana; 3 sisters, 2 brothers and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Drew's life will be held on a date to be determined later this spring in Old Lyme, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Drew's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
