Amanda Cohen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Cohen, 34, of Miami, Florida, on January 5, 2025. Amanda was born on March 1, 1990, in Davie, Florida, to her loving parents Carol and Jeff Cohen. She was a cherished sister to Angela Cohen-Shields and Jon Cohen and sister-in-law to Thomas Shields & April Cohen. Amanda was also cherished by her loving and devoted service dog Zoe.

Amanda's life was marked by her unwavering curiosity, creativity, and passion for storytelling. A graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, she further pursued her dreams at Columbia University's School of Journalism. Professionally, Amanda thrived in her role at the Max Borges Agency in Miami, where she found great fulfillment in data-driven storytelling—a craft she mastered with enthusiasm and brilliance.

Beyond her career, Amanda was a gifted photographer and an avid traveler. Her wanderlust and artistic eye brought vibrancy and perspective to her life. She also cared deeply about the LGBTQA+ community, metaphysics, and the written word, leaving a legacy of compassion, artistry, and authenticity.

Amanda's life ended far too soon; a private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to OneMind.org.
