IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Abelardo
Galang
August 20, 1927 – January 3, 2022
Abelardo "Lads" Galang, 94, of Hillsboro Beach, FL passed away January 3, 2022 and was finally reunited with the love of his life. Ruby, his beloved wife of 65 years, died on August 5, 2021, and Lads spent the last 5 months talking about how much he was looking forward to seeing her in heaven. He died peacefully at the Vitas Hospice Center after having had several falls during the past week.
Lads is survived by their only son Abelardo, Jr. (Jun-Jun) and their granddaughter Justine.
Lads, an architect by trade, lived a long, happy and adventurous life traveling through Vietnam, Thailand Okinawa, Korea, Macao in Asia and then through Israel and Venezuela. His architectural specialty was in Airport design and he was instrumental in the design of all the airports where he traveled. He was also one of the primary designers of the Pan American Airport building at J.F.K. in the 1970s.
We will remember Lads for the vivacious energy he brought to all the gatherings. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. We will sorely miss him!! He is at peace now being reunited with Ruby in Heaven.
