Rolf Lennart Svensson

Rolf ‘Roffe’ Svensson, 74, of Boynton Beach, Florida and Uppsala, Sweden passed away at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida on January 7, 2020. 

Rolf was born in Kiruna, the most northern town of Sweden, on March 8, 1945. He did his military service as a pilot and later studied at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Rolf worked for Asea Brown Boveri for over 30 years. His work and hobbies brought him all over the world and he relocated Columbus, Ohio to work as Vice President of Service in 1994. He retired to Florida and Uppsala, Sweden in 2004 and enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing bridge, and model airplanes. He will be remembered and dearly missed for his kindness, great sense of humor, and his dedication to his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Margaretha Svensson, brother Ake (Anita) Svensson, children Fredrik Ekstrand of Stockholm and Karin (Willem) Duplessis of Parkland, FL grandchildren Louise, Martin, Maia, Charlotte, Lucas, Madeleine and many other relatives.  He is prediseased by his 2 brothers Stig, Bengt and parents Linnea and Aldo.  

His funeral service will be in Uppsala, Sweden January 24, 2020 at 3 pm.
