Robert Anthony Jeras

On Sunday, October 6th, Robert Anthony Jeras passed away (to the big hunting ranch in the sky) with loved ones at his side in Boca Raton, FL at age 71. He was born on the family farm in Willard, Wisconsin in 1948 to Anton and Margaret (Volovsek) Jeras. He is survived by his loving daughters, Janel Green and Jacquelyn Ellis; his beloved grandchildren, Aurora Ellis, Ashton Ellis, and Robert Sanders Green, Jr., his siblings George Jeras and JoAnn Jeras, his sons-In-law Robert Sanders Green and Michael Ellis, and his devoted long-time girlfriend, Arlene Macchia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Anton Jeras Jr., and sister Jeanne Sutherland. 

Bob married Carol Hoffmann in 1968. They lived in New Berlin, WI, moving to Vadnais Heights, MN in 1980. They raised their two daughters while he was working at Deluxe Check Printers his entire 35 year career starting as a mechanic and then Management in Environmental Remediation. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, reading, and The Lord. Bob and Carol divorced in 2001 and he built his dream house on a Colorado Ranch where he later met Arlene Macchia. Bob and Arlene shared their time between Westcliffe, CO and her home in Boca Raton, FL  and in 2017 moved to Canton, GA to be near his grandchildren.

Bob was born on the 4th of July and liked to joke that it wasn’t until he was older that he learned the fireworks weren’t for him. Bob could fix anything and was always looking for a project.  He was a good friend, and was always willing to lend a hand. Friends and family enjoyed his lively storytelling, and were often on the receiving end of his unique style of humor. We will cherish his memory as a hard working, genuine, one of a kind man. A Memorial Service will be held in Willard, WI in the summer of 2020.
