Obituary

Joseph Tkatch passed away peacefully on November 7, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Joseph was born on September 4th, 1922 to Bertha and Paul Tkatch, in Glassport, PA. He had 3 brothers and 4 sisters. All who have preceded him in death. Joseph worked as a tool and die maker at Copperweld Steel for 46 years. He entered the US Army during WWII and volunteered to go to Europe to fight. He served with the 90th infantry division the "Tough Ombres" during the Battle of the Bulge. When he retired from the war, he married his sweetheart, Elizabeth Jupin, and celebrated 73 years of Marriage. Joseph leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Tkatch of Deerfield Beach, FL, his daughters; Diane Walewski of Boca Raton, FL, Donna Czerniewski of Lake Villa, IL, and his son David Tkatch of Harrisburg, PA, Joseph and Elizabeth have 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. Family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 8-9am at the funeral home and a funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 14th, 2019, 9:30am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Deerfield Beach, FL. Burial with full military honors will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL, where he will be laid to rest.
