Jacqueline “Jackie” Winters, 93, of Loxahatchee, Florida, died peacefully on the morning of December 11, 2017.  She was born on April 4, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Saul and Rodie Harris.  Jackie is survived by her daughter Devora Renick-Fine, her son-in-law, Gary Fine, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rabbi Alton Winters, her parents, Saul and Rodie Harris and her sister, Debra Harris.  Jackie was a devoted wife for 71 years to her loving husband, Rabbi Alton Winters and equally devoted to her husband’s congregations throughout the years.  Jackie was a dedicated school teacher and during her lengthy career, she accomplished many things, including pioneering the first cooperative nursery in New Jersey.  During her teaching career,  Jackie taught her students the fundamentals of learning and was particularly proud that she taught her pupils proper etiquette, of which she continued to teach long after her retirement.   Jackie and her husband enjoyed travelling abroad and visited many countries and cultures.  In her spare time and on into retirement, Jackie was a tennis enthusiast, as well as an avid bridge and Mahjong player.  Jackie was known for her quick wit, humor and wisdom.   She will be remembered for her candor and spunk and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Gary Panoch Funeral Home, 6140 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33487
