Hilda Carpenter Willis, 90, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away November 28, 2018. She is survived by her beloved children; Wayne (Leslie,) Connie Cheves, Marc (Marlene,) Paige, loving grandchildren; Tarra, Jennifer, Justin, Troy, Gregory, Shannon, Marc, Christopher, Dillon,14 great-grandchildren and predeceased by her son Greg. Hilda Etta Carpenter Willis was born in Williston, FL to Sibley and Ethel Carpenter. She graduated from P.K. Young at 17 and attended David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee before starting her family. She was particularly proud to have worked for the renowned Dr. Henry Babers and J. Hillis Miller blood bank. She loved to play the piano for her family and surrounded them with music. Her family was her world, she was like a second mother to her children’s friends, her home often referred to as “Grand Central Station” as it was a safe haven for any and all who knew her. Hilda loved her family history and relished the opportunity to share stories. She dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, including her mother, Kaysmama. She was a fine lady. Family will receive friends, Monday, December 3, 2018, 12-1pm with a 1pm funeral service at Burlington Santa Fe Church of Christ, 4393 US Highway 27, Branford, FL 32008. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe Cemetery, Branford, FL.
