Carol Ihrig

Our beloved mother, Carol Ihrig, 70, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2018.

She was born to Edward and Rosemary Zawora on December 20, 1947 in Newark, New Jersey.  She later moved to Metuchen, where she raised her family.  She and our father lived in Beachwood, New Jersey before retiring to Boca Raton, Florida.  Mom and Dad enjoyed bowling, golf, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children: Denise (Ivan) Hernandez, Michele Salvia, her grandchildren; Benjamin, Caitlin, Amy, Jessica, Samantha and Grant, her brother Edward (Carole) Zawora, her sister Sandra (Joe) Sutaris, and her many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Conrad.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, 2018, 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Boca Raton.  Burial will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL where she will be interred with our father. Donation may be made to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
