Lauro Bravim Freitas, born April 09, 1952 in Guarapari, Espirito Santo, Brazil. His spirit was called to be with the Lord on April 11, 2017. He led the way for our family to immigrate from Brazil to the United States in 1983, because he wanted a better life for him and his family. We watched as he taught us, his children, the value of working hard and the dedication to finish the projects we have started. Growing up in a blended family is not an easy feat because love takes its time to grow roots in our hearts, but time has made Lauro Bravim Freitas the best step-father and father anyone could ever hope for. He was a man that still believed, that his word was his bond, even when keeping his word would cause him financial or physical harm. On December 27, 1999, he became paralyzed after a horrific construction site accident, but that did not stop him from wanting to share his new found love for God and his never failing belief in Jesus Christ. He became a Pastor and would travel to Brazil to share the gift of salvation with his brothers and sisters. His last days although in pain, he shared his love with us and joy by celebrating his 65th birthday. He has woven into our hearts so much of his character we really sometimes do not even realize. But let it be known, he will not be forgotten. The "love that grows" did grow and it blossomed and his lasting memory has been engraved in our hearts, minds and yes our souls. May you rest in peace, may you walk with the angles and may you run and feel the glory of our God. Lauro Bravim Freitas is survived by his loving wife; Maria Docarmo Freitas, his daughter; Jennifer, and his three sons; Nilcirley, Achilles and Lauro Jr.

Family will receive friends Thursday, April 13, 2017, 3-7pm with a 6pm funeral service at the funeral home.
